who purchased a “Think Spring Cowl” pattern between Feb 14th & 16th. While not as much was raised for the American Heart Association as I hoped for we did raise some and I am sending the funds in today. Maybe next year will be better.
On a sad note – we had to give up the battle against cancer in our kitty Whizzer. As the vet said, for every step forward he was going three steps back. Yesterday was a very sad day at our house. We get his ashes on Wednesday.
In all, this weekend was not the best one we’ve ever had. I did get another knitting submission in so I do feel good about that. There are a couple more I want to get off this week. So I’m off to work on them a bit before it’s time to go to my day job………

Hope everyone has a perfect day with their sweeties.
I’ve just listed a new pattern – a quick cowl project. I like cowls because they keep my neck warm without falling off. For this one I used Wick from K1C2. It’s soft, warm, squishy and machine wash/dry – can’t beat that.

In honor of Valentine’s (and President’s) Day I have this pattern for a very special price and will be donating 100% of the sale proceeds from Feb 14th thru 16th to the American Heart Association. Heart disease runs in my family so this is an organization I support. They are doing wonderful research toward helping prevent and cure heart disease.
Now it’s time to really get busy on submissions, have a few going out, and self-published designs – have some in the works. While I was reading over the guidelines for one submission call my DH decided he was going to help. So I gave him the guidelines to read. His first question – what is “round knitting” – too cute. He is really pretty artistic himself & loves to tinker with things. Who knows – maybe he’ll be one of those designers who comes up with what the project should be & look like but someone else (me) figures out the how. Humm……………..
Cheers! Jean
